All our adult Labs are Veterinarian-screened for OFA-Hips/PENN-Hips, OFA-Elbows, CERF-Eye Clearances, Exercise Induced Collapse (EIC), Centronuclear Myopathy (CNM), & are AKC-DNA Registered to confirm parentage. No adults are bred unless our DVM's give us a clean bill of health for no EIC, CNM, Hip & Elbow dysplatia. All our adult dogs have Hunt Test or Field Trial backgrounds & display "English" characteristics of big, blocky heads, big chests, slender waists & otter tail. Puppies are raised in a home environment & well-socialized from birth. By seven weeks all pups are introduced to many game bird scents, gunfire & water retrieving on my Wisconsin DNR-Licensed Game Farm. Many repeat customers have returned for a second, third, fourth or even a fifth puppy. As their children grow up and begin their own families, we receive calls from them as well wanting a genetically pure & guaranteed Lab puppy for their own families. PUPPY VISITS - We've had to start a policy for visiting puppies. The situation was my fault for not realizing it at the time. In 2009, we allowed people to visit before any pups were weaned from mom. One person accidentally dropped a pup. It later died. Later that day we allowed people to handle 2 black pups. Because our scent was not on the pups, one mom KILLED her 2 puppies. Our DVM's now RECOMMENDS no puppy visits until weaned completely away from Mom's at ~3-4 weeks. Sorry, that's our new policy. NO VISITS ANY PUPS UNTIL WEANED AWAY FROM THEIR MOMS !!!
